The Very Reverend Kelvin C. Brooks
A young servant of God, known for his powerful preaching, profound teaching, accurate prophetic gift, and humble servitude; Overseer Kelvin C. Brooks approaches the work of ministry with great zeal and constant determination. Preaching since the age of seventeen, he currently serves as an Overseer and the Adjutant General of Covenant Ecumenical Fellowship & Cathedral Assemblies (CEFCA), where Bishop Donald Hilliard, II, is the Presiding Bishop. The youngest Prelate of his reformation and the first to be appointed to the position of Adjutant General, Overseer Brooks has distinguished himself amongst the senior leaders of the church as a trusted source for ecclesiastical reference, and a committed servant prone to reverent worship.
Overseer Brooks served for over seven years in Shekinah Glory Christian Church, of Newark, New Jersey, where the Senior Pastor is The Right Reverend Loretta Smith-Koffi; the 2nd Assistant Presiding Bishop of CEFCA. During that time he was prepared for ministry (licensed), and later ordained to the office of Elder. There he served in many positions including; Minister to Youth, the Ministry Administrator, Chair of the Church Administrative Planning Board, and as the Dean of Education and Curriculum for the Shekinah Institute of Biblical and Theological Studies. He has also served as the Instructor of Practical Adjutancy for the Adjutants and Armor-bearers Academy of Carmi Ministries (the personal ministry of Bishop Loretta Smith-Koffi). A member of the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops, Overseer Brooks has attended the college’s Adjutants Academy as well.
In January of 2009, Overseer Brooks began Order In The Kingdom Ministries via Order In The Kingdom.com. An ecclesiastical leadership and adjutancy training, consultation, and resource ministry, Order In The Kingdom strives to provide the people of God with the understanding and tools necessary to serve God in excellence. Overseer Brooks and Order In The Kingdom ministries are expanding and growing to accomplish the will of God. Currently Overseer Brooks connects with leaders and ministries all over the globe offering consultation, support, relational ministry, and relevant change.
Overseer continues to add new accomplishments and manifested visions to his credit as he follows the direction of the Lord. He published his first of twelve books he is writing in October of 2010, entitled “Munchausen By Pastor: Redefining Spiritual Paternity.” Overseer Brooks works full-time in Law Enforcement as a Special Police Sergeant and a 911 Center Communications Officer, and is completing his undergraduate course work. Above all, he is most blessed by the love, life and ministry he shares with his wife Lady Shonda-Renee' Brooks and their two children; Aislinn Jon'Nae, and Justus Wesley-Alexander.
